When I began working with Ripar Cosmetici in 2016, the challenge was clear: modernize the brand identity and prepare for the launch of the RiparCover line in the American market. This line, specialized in cosmetic products for covering skin imperfections, represented not just a new beginning for the brand but also a unique opportunity to bring Italian excellence across the ocean.

The Vision Behind the Project

RiparCover is a sub-brand that evolved from the original vision of a family dedicated to beauty and well-being. Under the leadership of Luca Piombino, a plastic surgeon and CEO, the brand aims to address aesthetic issues with innovative, high-quality products. Our goal was to keep this mission at the heart of the new design, ensuring that every visual element reflected the effectiveness and sophistication of the products.
A Collaborative Approach
My creative process involved close collaboration with Luca and his team. Initially, I conducted a market analysis to understand trends and expectations of American consumers. This fundamental step provided valuable insights for creating an identity that would resonate with the new audience.

During our discussions, Luca expressed the desire for a design that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also told a story. This inspired me to develop a modernized logo and eye-catching packaging designed to capture attention on the shelves of American pharmacies and beauty stores.
Innovation in Design
Creating the packaging for RiparCover was one of the most fascinating challenges. I wanted each package to convey a sense of luxury and professionalism while maintaining the necessary functionality for practical use. I experimented with various materials and shapes, ensuring that the design complied with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations without compromising aesthetics.
The Results Speak for Themselves
After the launch, the results were astonishing. Within a year, Ripar’s revenue grew by 18%, and several medical spas in the United States began signing contracts to include RiparCover products in their treatments. This positive response exceeded expectations, demonstrating that targeted design and branding strategies had hit the mark.
